The agreement between you and us when you book a cruise — including how payment, confirmation, and cancellations work.
The operator
Cruises are operated by Athena Volcano Cruises (Αθήνα Βολκάνο Ν.Ε.Π.Α.), based in Santorini, Greece. Questions about these terms or an existing booking: info@athenavolcano.com or +30 698 614 9191.
The service
We offer private boat cruises departing from Santorini — the whole boat is yours for the duration you book. Routes, durations, and inclusions are described on each cruise page. Itineraries may be adjusted by the captain for safety or weather; your safety always takes precedence over the published route.
Booking, payment & confirmation
Bookings are made online at www.athenavolcano.com. Full payment is collected at the time of booking through viva.com’s secure Smart Checkout (major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and more). All prices are in euros and include applicable VAT.
Your booking is confirmed the moment your payment succeeds: a confirmation email with your reference number and all cruise details is delivered to the email address you provided, immediately after checkout. The service itself is delivered on the date and departure time stated in that confirmation, at the meeting point communicated to you. If you do not receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of paying, contact us and we will resend it.
Cancellations & refunds
By you. Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled departure for a full refund — no questions, no fees. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure, and no-shows, are non-refundable.
By us. If we must cancel — for example due to unsafe weather or a technical issue — you choose between a full refund or free rebooking to another available date.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method through viva.com and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. To cancel or reschedule, email info@athenavolcano.com or call +30 698 614 9191 with your booking reference. Rescheduling is free and subject to availability.
On board
Guests must follow the crew’s safety instructions at all times. The captain may refuse or end carriage for behaviour that endangers the vessel or its passengers, without refund. Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before departure; late arrival may shorten your cruise.
Liability & law
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Greek law. Our liability for matters within our control is limited to the amount you paid for your booking. These terms are governed by Greek law, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of Thira, Greece. Last updated: 20 July 2026.
